In the summer of 2019, Vidzu Media joined forces with RedPeg, our sister agency, to launch the Dish Biggest Fan Tour campaign. The campaign was an epic, summer-long promotion that spanned across 20 states and included over 90 events. The aim of the campaign was to find the four biggest fans of four shows on four networks, namely, WWE Smackdown/RAW, The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shooter, Bravo, SyFy, and USA.
The Dish Biggest Fan Tour campaign was an immense success, reaching over 16 million people and generating more than 4,000 video submissions from enthusiastic fans. Our team traveled coast-to-coast, covering thousands of miles and braving all sorts of weather, delays, and long car rides. The efforts paid off as we were able to engage with the passionate fans, and create social media videos of their journeys.
Our Director of Photography, Levi Kirby, was with us every step of the way, documenting the winners’ reactions and their grand prize trips. The four biggest fans were taken to Boston, Orange County, Washington DC, and New York City, where they had a unique and unforgettable adventure. We delivered the good news to each winner at their homes, and then documented their reactions as they embarked on their grand prize trips.
Upon their return, we created recap videos that showcased their entire experience. The campaign generated a buzz on social media platforms, with numerous mentions of the Dish Biggest Fan Tour and the excitement around the grand prize trips. We created :60 social media videos for three individual winners that received a lot of attention, and helped to increase engagement with the campaign.
Despite the challenges we faced, we were able to capture every moment of the winners’ wild adventures and create content that resonated with their fandom. The Dish Biggest Fan Tour campaign was a great success, and we were thrilled to have been a part of it.
